Stronger Together: AIM Fitness & Nutrition Partners with Project Pink’d to Empower Survivors
Project Pink’d partnership — three simple words that hold so much meaning for us at AIM Fitness & Nutrition. This collaboration represents more than a community event or a fitness class. It’s about strength, hope, and rediscovering confidence after one of life’s most difficult battles: breast cancer.
At AIM Fitness & Nutrition, we believe movement is powerful medicine. Fitness isn’t just about reps, sets, or calories — it’s about rebuilding trust in your body and finding joy in what it can do. Through our partnership with Project Pink’d, we’ve had the honor of helping breast cancer survivors reconnect with their strength, both physically and emotionally.
The Heart Behind the Partnership
When we first learned about Project Pink’d, we were inspired by their mission: to empower breast cancer survivors in Nebraska and Western Iowa through programs that focus on healing, wellness, and community. Their “Ignite” program caught our attention immediately. It’s designed to help survivors return to movement safely and confidently after treatment — something that aligns perfectly with what we do every day at AIM Fitness & Nutrition.
Our team, led by trainers like Madison Roth & Kristi Morris, worked closely with Project Pink’d to design a four-week fitness series. Each session focused on gentle strength training, mobility, and confidence-building exercises. But what made these sessions truly special wasn’t just the workouts — it was the energy in the room.
Laughter mixed with determination. Encouragement echoed through the gym. Survivors supported each other through every movement, celebrating progress both big and small. It was a reminder that fitness is not just about building muscle — it’s about building resilience and community.
Strength Beyond the Gym
For many participants, walking into a gym for the first time after cancer treatment can be intimidating. We understand that. Our goal was to create an environment where every woman felt safe, supported, and celebrated — no matter where she was in her journey.
Each week, we watched women lift more than weights — they lifted each other. They found new balance, new energy, and new hope. Many shared that they felt stronger than they had in years, both mentally and physically.
That’s the beauty of our Project Pink’d partnership — it goes far beyond the gym walls. It’s about empowering survivors to take ownership of their health again, to feel confident in their bodies, and to reconnect with a community that understands their experience.
A Community That Rises Together
Gretna is a close-knit community, and this partnership reminded us of the power of connection. Local businesses, supporters, and our own AIM members came together to show love and encouragement for the women in pink.
As trainers and nutrition professionals, we often talk about strength in physical terms — but true strength comes from within. It’s in the decision to show up, to push through fear, and to believe that healing is possible. The women of Project Pink’d embody that strength every single day.
We’re deeply grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside them. This partnership has reminded us why we do what we do — to help people move better, feel stronger, and live fuller lives.
